Surely it's plain to see?
Been announced that E-on is shutting the Rayleigh call centre down.

As well as putting up with callers assuming all call centre staff are divs, and being ranted at down the phone, the workers have been 'rewarded' with management taking their livelihoods away. Nice.

Oh, how lovely the FA Cup looks now, with those colourful E-on ribbons around them.

I know quite a few shrimpers have been affected by this, myself included.

All the staff found out by echo website at about 9pm last night as our directors made a press statement before even telling the staff.

On a seperate note, e.on are also pulling their sponsership on the FA cup for next season.

If there are any call centre staff that need jobs, my company has a call centre, always taking on, and we are here for life

spent one of the worst weeks of my working life temping in that call centre, sorting out the filing for a team who hadn't touched it for 2 years. it's clearly all been downhill since i ledft.

Well i worked there for 2 years and left about 2 years ago. My girlfirend however still does and has been there for 6.5 years.

She hated it but stuck with it because the money was good , but thought she had a job for life.

Rayleigh has the best stats out of all there call centres but the land is worth a fortune so there shutting and i would expect a new housing development very soon.

Both out of work now and job hunting is bleak.

Still my season card is paid for so every cloud .
