See Freddy was dropped by Wales for their game v San Marino tonight.

Sat on the bench as sub but never got on. He was taken off on Saturday after 55 minutes of Wales disasterous defeat by Cyprus, prompting John Toshack's stinging criticism of the attitude of many of his players during and following the game.

Surely he could not have meant Fred however - his attitude was always spot on wasn't it?:)

Don't let CS J hear you call Eire part of the "home nations"!!!
The Northern Irish did OK with a 1-1 draw v Sweden.

Indeed - although really they needed a win to be in with a shout of qualifying. Respect to Northern Ireland this campaign, they've had some good results again. Was particularly surprised at the Scotland result, after all the hard work beating France and Ukraine they lost to Georgia...!

And the best bit is the Georgian first goal was scored by McHedlidze.

I had the "pleasure" of attending the Cyprus match. Cyprus are a useful side at the moment, they try and play ball to feet and would do OK in League One, I think, if they could only give up the dreadful diving. Wales were awful, but Freddy did OK when he was on and didn't look best pleased when he was subbed.

why do we care?

he dnt play for us anymore

True but as this link is called "Ex Shrimpers" and Fred actually is now a former Southend United player representing his country in international football, quite a few people on this forum follow his career and though you may not, actually a great deal of SUFC fans do care about how he is doing at Wolves and for Wales.

Case of "mate" that if you're not interested on a link on a forum why bother reading it in the 1st place?

Fred was on the bench for Wales v Cyprus and never got on. Why would Toshack have named him as a substitute if he was injured and could not play?
