On which note I liked Demi's attempt at goal from the restart Saturday. More of that sort of thing please.
 
Shame we dont go for the jugular straight from the kick off, as we did that day?. ( obviously cant at present, due to lack of strikeforce! ) What was the time of the first goal, 8 seconds?.

Well....... his first touch in a Southend shirt was actually a behind closed doors friendly v Cambridge. I reffed it.

I didn't think he stood out and my comments to Tilly afterwards "he'll be a back up to Lawrie Dudfield".

Shows how much I know!!!
 
I distinctly remember me and my dad saying, Freddy Eastwood? And having a chuckle.

Chuckling soon turned to years of cheering.

But god damn what a squad around him at that time,

One of the best games I've ever seen at League 2 level. Not just Freddy but also Lee Trundle. Tried to catch Terry Alderton Ryan Clarke out from the kick-off straight after our fourth goal and hit the bar. Would have been an amazing goal.
