Eateries and drinking holes of southend

Went down to Rossi's today for lunch, on a gorgeous day like today, you can do far worse things. Old fashioned, undoubtedly, but good, honest food, and of course, ice-cream too!
Best ice cream in the town .

And old people making a cup of tea last 6 hours.

Not today, there was a mix of people in there, a chap who'd clearly bought some old boys in from a home, one in a wheelchair and one with walking sticks. A couple of young families, some grandparents with grandchildren, plenty of walkers and a few, like us, just couples out for a stroll in the sun.

Hopefully he will get the genuine c2c experience - toilets overflowing with wee, beer cans strewn all over the floor, people with their music turned up so you can hear it even though they have headphones on, people shouting into their mobiles which are on speaker (including every other word being an f-bomb, city boys and girls drunk and charlied up having a good old Essex ruck, beggars and, finally, Rochford.
