A previous post on here said that the echo had reported that Tilson was looking at a League 1 striker from the west country who was amongst the goals, i may have the answer

Bristol City released Tony Thorpe (ex QPR) yesterday by mutual consent.

Not sure how he is doing at Ashton Gate, but maybe is homesick to be nearer London?

Thorpe was released by Swindon.

It can't be Bridges as:

(a) when the story broke he hadn't scored for Carlisle and certainly hadn't been "banging them in" for Bristol City

(b) its well documented he wants a permanent return to the North-East

The striker HAS to be IMHO either Cureton or Fallon, with the only other option being Jevons at Yeovil but that is very much a long shot.
