Economic equality is on the rise in the UK

So you only read one newspaper('s website), and now admit to reading books with selective data to suit the authors' arguments.

Have you read The Spirit Level by any chance? The authors' (2 highly respected UK University Lecturers and researchers)data is hardly selective.Read the 2nd edition of their book (now in paperback)for a detailed rebutal of criticisms of their first edition).

I've read the Spirit Level and the Spirit Level Delusion. Don't know what version of either I've read - in the second version did they acknowledge the weakness of their arguments in the first?

Perhaps you'd care to enlighten us as to what were "the weaknesses of their arguments" in their first edition(ie in what way (s)exactly is income inequality good for any nation, but in particular with respect to the UK)?

I think you'll find that The Guardian and The Observer are in fact two different and quite seperate newspapers.
Although admittedly these days they do have the same owner.
A bit like Murdoch's Sun and The Times.Although here -while both are singing from the same hymnsheet-their target audience is rather different.
