Who was the greater Southend legend?

Dear old Roy Hollis, whose knees always seemed to be facing the wrong way but still managed to score a hatful of goals. Stiff legged, awkward and not particularly skilful i saw him score some terrific goals. He always used to run past the centre half, hoping the centre half would miss the ball but time and time again it didn't happen! A great club servant and a true legend. Eddie Firmani, on the other hand, oozed class and skill but never really had us in his heart and perfomed when he fancied it. No contest for me, RH all the way.

Tough tie, two favourites I can see Hollis winning this but Firmani is a very legendary player.

If its down to out and out ability for me its Firmani all the way, through his carear he played at a much higher level than Roy,but its not all about that is it Hollis played for Southend for much longer, scoring more goals and became a Southend legend imo. So for me its Roy Hollis

Roy Hollis remains Southend United's all-time leading goalscorer. Firmani was miles the better player, having played for Charlton at the highest level.

But I cannot ignore the Blues' greatest goalscorer. Lanky Roy Hollis for me.

Eddie Firmani - arguably the classiest player ever to pull on a Southend United shirt.

Loved Firmani oozed class and a joy to watch, Hollis a bit before my time but have friends who saw him and always go on about how good he was and will vote Hollis as he played longer for us and scored so many goals.
