The 55 man training squad has been named with Dan Lawrence included but Jamie Porter omitted. Thoughts?

I think they are wanting to be able to field separate test, odi and t20 sides so Lawrence (who'd be a contender in all 3 formats) was more likely to make the squad than Porter who'd only be a contender for the test side. He'd have been in my test squad though.

Yep, think YB has hit the nail on the head. Need to have t20 in mind given the world Cup, however unlikely that is looking now

Looking at what Shah is doing with the ball England must be regretting not having a spinner.

Not in my book with the buffet bowling crap he slung down the leg side on Thursday.

Don't get me wrong I like the lad and rather him than Leach but how Root allowed that rubbish is beyond me.

3rd (and final) Test against Pakistan - England fight back strongly thanks to Crawley & Buttler's stand

Some brilliant batting from the lads yesterday, more of the same today please,500 plus would give us the series i would think.

A fantastic innings of 541 minutes comes to an end, Zak Crawley finally out for 267
