England Cricket

And we've got a spin bowler en route down the M6 as we speak

As a county cricket fan the thing that annoyed me was it has been widely reported by cricket journos that counties were asked to produce pitches that made bowlers work for wickets so we can produce world class bowlers. This has resulted in loads of bore draws. When it comes to our 1st test of the summer we get a pitch that gives 17 wickets on the 1st day of a 5 day game! Doesn't seem like joined up thinking to me

Matt Parkinson can't be to handy with the willow if he's batting below Jimmy.

Wow, what a (non) surprise, yet another England batting collapse! Patently obvious the reason why but yet again nothing is being done to address it.

What do you advise to b doe ?

Go back to basics and learn how to bat properly, which will never happen with the incessant hit-and-run stuff played these days.
If t20 was such a problem how come other nations aren't having the issues we are having? As a nation we play more redball cricket than anyone else.

It’s not just T20 though could it be your arguement that we are just unlucky when it comes to batting. Several revered ex-England players have lamented the affect that the increase of limited over has had on test batting…I tend to agree with them..
