ESPN to air American Football on Monday Nights

So it seems from Sept 14th ESPN will be showing the Monday Night match live as well as the 90 min pre-game programme Monday Night Countdown, in which host Chris Berman previews the evening's action.

ESPN said they have taken this decision after the increase in UK fan base for NFL.

The games will be kicking off at 1am UK time but will be repeated the next day.

Awesome news.

Not sure if this will affect the UK ESPN much, but they've also expressed an interest in expanding on their stateside coverage of the EPL by taking the number of games they'll show to 80-85.

I presume this is American Football ?? In which case i'll edit the thread title to save any confusion

I presumed using the TAG NFL would have been enough to indicate this was indeed about the American version, or the fact it was in the All Sports Forum, but I guess maybe I was being too subtle for some. ;)
