Essex CCC 2017

Sadly, it was a bit of a collapse at the end of the days play, for us to finish on 188-8.

I was also hoping that we would build up a sizeable lead, but sadly not. Although well done to TDS for his 61 not out, & hope he can reach a ton tomorrow.

Our first goal should be reaching 200 (which should be achievable, considering it's only 12 runs away) to get the batting point... If we make 250+, it will be a blessing / miracle.

Anyway, what a day a for the bowlers all across the 1st division in general......

Yorkshire 113 all out.
Warwickshire 126 all out.
Lancashire 149 all out.
Middlesex 166 all out.

Be good to get a 100 lead this morning, and if weather like here in London, cloudy could be over in two days

IF we can win, would be a great boost to the squad without Cook and Westley, end of the day we havenot got a lot of depth, but who steps in, seems to rise up to the task

UTE

That's the 200 up and an important bonus point, be brilliant if could grind out another 50 runs, loads of time to bat

231 all out in the end, and Porters got Lyth out 2nd ball

Yorks 0-1 trail by 118 with 9 2nd innings wickets remaining

The pitch inspector must be on his way surely?:stunned:

14.3 now

Come on Essex

Yorkshire may have found another Boycott in Brook, been in 33 mins faced 23 balls and got 1 run

Incredible stuff, especially Mohammed Amir with both bat and ball in this match.

Really starting to believe we can win this title!

66-7 now

Christ if we sack our Groundsman for a small part of the pitch unplayable, I would hate to be Yorkshires groundsman now !!1
