Essex CCC 2018

105-8

Can only presume, new management have told the lads not to wrap the league up early this year and gives others a chance to catch up

150 all out.

Peter Siddle top scoring with an unbeaten 33.

Now time for the bowlers.

109-7.

Simon Harmer getting in on the act, as well. All 7 wickets between them, as ever.

Going along nicely at 6 an over this morning, after bowling Lancashire out.

In other news, Kent are close to winning by an innings inside 4 sessions, despite being bowled out for 169 yesterday! :omg:

Both ex-England openers back in the hutch.

First wicket for Peter Siddle.

Big partnership for Lancashire. Need to break it if we want to win. Come on boys!

Indeed.

Second new ball due in around 12 overs, so we should have time for another bite with that.

We won by 31 runs.

Hopefully, Many more victories to come during the summer.

If we donot sort out the batting not many:smile:
We said Foster/ Harmer innings would win the game, in what was a tough Saturday, Sunday was a delight to watch Porter bowl and the good work by Walters who was brilliant at keeping Lancs frustrated

Do think Westly/Lawrence/Porter could be on the radar for England, which will hurt us in the coming months, especially if Cook is also in mix which I suspect he will be

Great weekend of cricket and weather to match

I popped over Saturday after tea, was very nice to be back watching some cricket in good weather. Don't know if anyone else is a cheapskate like me but apparently they were still charging a tenner after tea at the main entrance but the staff were letting us in free as per usual at the little entrance at the Hayes close end.
