Just returned from fortress Chelmsford and what great value my £80 members blast pass was! I saw 6 wins and 1 loss with the record t20 score at Chelmsford broken twice by the eagles. Strange to be supporting Surrey tomorrow but please beat those wurzels and get us a home quarter final

Phenomenal batting last night. I was lucky enough to be there too. Great to see the intent continuing and I retract my previous comments about lacking power, Walter hit some monsters.
Quarter-final will be really interesting as I fancy Essex at Finals Day if we make it given the important role spin is likely to have and other sides impacted by England call-ups.

It looks like they are only resting Roy from the England players. Topley and Curran are in the squad for today, doubt they would make them travel to Somerset and not play. Narine is the only other player not in the squad from from their last game against Kent. 2 big players though

Birmingham have got top spot in North so we avoid them. We could play lancs derbs yorks or leic in the quarters and none of those really scare me given that no England players are available. Yorks and Lancs are superb teams when they have their England players but not so scary when they don't. Have to say I'm starting to believe like you @Museshrimper
No Sam Curran either. Tom is back but apparently as a specialist bat which says a lot. Hopefully win but wouldn't fancy winning at Taunton without many batsmen.
Leicestershire docked 2 points so Yorkshire now through. Shame, ruins an interesting game.
Can’t blame Surrey for trying to give Somerset a helping hand. Essex are more dangerous opponents, particularly at home.

England playing Thursday and Saturday, not sure how those discussions will go?
Hmm. The schedule does give opportunity now. The 2 games that have same day clash with England games involve 0 call ups which is unlikely to be a coincidence.
Horror draw if the 5 are allowed to play. We can only wait and see.

No England white ball players or any who featured in the India test in the Yorkshire and Surrey squads for tonight. I think it's highly unlikely that they will release them on Friday based on that

Yes but at Durham in wintery conditions which were a real leveller! Think there was a test at old Trafford at the time. We got really lucky in 2019, scraped 4th spot in the group on the last day then had the windy showery quarter final in Durham, then get a pitch made for Simon Harmer on finals day!

It is a very good opportunity for us. Surrey were a much better team on paper but that last over bowled from Yorkshire was superb. Birmingham/Warwickshire should win tonight and are the only team I think looks better on paper to us when you take the international absentees into account. Its t20 though and you get unexpected results all the time
