Essex Cricket 2022

This was the outfield never seen it rain as much at Chelmsford.Great win for us

Paul Walter seems to be taking wickets frequently in the hundred. Think we might have missed a trick not bowling him in the t20 this year

Yeah, I’m a big fan of Walter and think Essex have underused him.

The Royal London Cup has been a breath of fresh air with the youngsters coming in and a number have staked a claim for the T20 side. I’d be looking at something like this for the Blast next season

Rossington
Pepper
Lawrence/Khushi
Critchley
Walter
Das
Snater
Nijjar
Harmer/Benkenstein
Beard
Cook/Richards

Lots of explosive batsmen. 3 right arm seamers, plus left arm seam, leg spin, off-spin, SLA.

Rymell/Buttleman/Allison/Plom might force their way in too. That’s both a pretty explosive side and also a much changed side from a few years ago.

This is a bowling friendly pitch but our batting has been atrocious
