Breaking News Ethan Hamilton Signs on Season Long Loan from Manchester United

I do vaguely remember that.I assume we're talking about 68/9? If so he can't have played that many games for us.
Frank Haydock was signed from Portsmouth in January 1969 just after we had been beaten at Mansfield Town in the F.A.Cup 4th. Round(Those were the days!!). Frank scored on his debut against Brentford at Roots Hall on January 31st 1969 in a 4-0 win with goals also coming from Gary Moore(2) and Eddie Clayton in front of 10,954. It was one of only 6+(1 sub) appearances that season mainly due to injuries(nothing changes). The following season of 1969-70 Frank made a futher 28+(2 subs) appearances in both league and cup scoring a futher 3 times against Peterborough United(2-0) & Grimsby Town(1-3) at Roots Hall and his only goal away was in the last minute in the never to be forgotten 3-3 draw at Sincil Bank back in August 1969. Frank left at the end of that season to play in South Africa.
