Unbelievable to think that the great 80/81 team had two forwards who played every game!
Bit different these days......

Brilliant post and some great names from the past!

I wonder if the likes of Ian Benjamin and Richard Cadette would have been ever present playing in these times.

Great memories of those two! 👍

It appears that winning, successful teams get fewer injuries, the ever present list seems to, largely, evidence that.
Little wonder that we have had no one in the list for many seasons .

I watched the tele football, chumps league last night, and as per most games Grealish got kicked and tripped, seemingly every 3 minutes; yet he must be aware that by calling out an injury he would lose his starting place and have to wait for a chance again.
SO not a problem for most of our squad.

Strange that whilst I have a problem remembering our sides from recent decades Threadgold, Williamson, Anderson, Duthie, Stirling, Duffy, McKiven, Baron, Hollis, McCrory, Crossan. from the mid/late fifties, when I started watching the Blues, comes easily to mind. Don't know if it's 100% correct? Probably something to do with having a settled side during those years?

I think McGuigan was a winger rather than John McKinven who was a few years later.

I thought the mid/late 90s had a few ever presents ? Keith Dublin ? Simon Royce ? Julian Hails ? I’m probably totally wrong though lol.
