Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but this just came up on Chris Phillips twitter.

Chris Phillips‏@CJPhillips1982Former blues left back teddy Nesbit has tweeted he has not been paid by the club. Other players have said the same to me.

Considering as we've been in this problem before, it wouldn't matter if he was or wasn't former.

Oh dear. As Naps said on Twitter, let's hope it's a "Natwest" thing and not a re-visit to the dark times..

Indeed or we can kiss goodbye signing any new players and we really will be up **** street.

Judging by some of Nesbitt's previous Twitter offerings, I think the fact he hasn't been paid is the least of his problems...

Rumours of us having gambled everything on going up may be true then :/ hopefully this is just a one off, (wouldn't put it past Ron to use Natwest as an excuse to not pay on time) but if we really are skint then I'd settle for a mid table finish next season so long as the club survives.

Chris Phillips needs to name names if he is to justify the "other players" comment! . The Echo reporting of late has been a bit unreliable of late (Belford for example). The lax payments to "former players" is nothing new, from past form.

I wonder if he knows that if he is not at the club anymore he doesn't get paid? :stunned:

Of course failing to pay players past or present, has dire consequences when it comes to trying to sign some...

I do hope Cricko's favourite fruit drink picture does not have to materialise again.

And aren't all players contracts paid up until 30th June. So this would be the last payday for those that have been released?

I guess the fact that he's been released , but complaining that he hasn't been paid , suggests that his contract expired end of June....................
