Looking at Emberson, he was in a FA Youth final, as we all know was Maher. But looking on wikipedia, and there's a lot more...

Why have most of these players got the same surname?

;)

Didn't Craig have a trial with us at a separate time? Or am I making that up?

Just an update on finalists

in 2014/15 and 15/6, trialist Buckley Ricketts played for Man City who lost both finals
in 2012/3, Jacob Murphy played for winning Norwich
in 2009/10, Connor Clifford was captain for Chelsea who won
in 2008/9, Sanchez Watt played for Arsenal (he scored in both legs for victorious Arsenal)
in 2007/8, Nouble played for Chelsea (didnt do much, came on as sub)

If we’re including trialists Rohan the destroyer of Great Wakering Ricketts was on trial and if we’re including brothers we had Justin Hoyte’s brother, Gavin on trial and Anton’s brother played in one alongside Lee Hodges and Chris Coyne.

I completely forgot about Rohan!

1957-58. Wolverhampton Wanders vs Chelsea (1-5 & 6-1 Wolves won 7-6 on aggregate).
Terry Bradbury played for Chelsea.
1958-59. Blackburn Rovers vs West Ham United (1-1 & 1-0 Blackburn won 2-1 on aggregate).
Derek Woodley, Mike Beesley & Andy Smillie played for West Ham United. Also playing for the Hammers were Harry Cripps & Jack Burkett who were both employed as coaches at Roots Hall after they had finished playing.
