What is the problem here?

Meet up with this guy,he's not married but "in a relationship" so will bring his latest love with him and then try like merry hell to bed his bird!

It happened to you.

If it fails, drag him somewhere quiet and tell him what a horrible mate he was and beat the living senses out of him.

Choosing either of these two options will make you feel like it was the thing that you've been meaning to do all this time....

......or you will land yourself in deep sh!te with the law/your new lady.

Either way,if you can't go for it properly this time, then do nothing.

Ignore it & move on. Whats happened has gone & you may feel better to beat him up or throw F's into him, but it would achieve Zero, nowt, bugger all.

We've all had crap things happen to us, some worse than others. The best way to deal with it is to move on & put it behind. By doing this you move on &get on with your life in a positive way. You still have to deal with the pain, but as the pain was years ago, it doesn't really matter.

I wouldn't even reply to him! Would he want to know you if you had done the same to him?

Thing is, a lot of people on here have missed the timeline.
I got dumped December 1994, battered my ex*/his future Mrs the night Cantona went mental at Selhurst Park, Feb 1995.
Bumped into them (+ 2 offspring) spring 2000.
Not really given them a seconds thought since then, until I got the request Friday morning.

* - for those that no of previous posts (I think in the much missed/deleted first live chat thread) this is the lady who had a penchant for Ford Escort gearboxes [cough, cough]

Huh?
You "battered" your ex? Well i suppose she HAD done wrong but even so mate...

I think it's best that this guy stays well away from you mate, for his own well-being!
*runs off to check if i've ever red-repped Glasgow, aint gonna upset this dude if he can get THAT angry on someone!*

OK then, "belted" not "battered" as per an earlier poster.
I was trying to remember their colloquialism, it's been a long day!

Rich, life is too short for you to be spending it on wasters like Mr. Love Rat 95.

In your shoes, I'd send a brief message back along the lines that you have, quite simply, nothing to say to him - that your life has moved on, and that he has no part to play in it.

The guy's only getting back in touch because he's trying to assuage his guilt. Well, he should have thought about that before jumping your fiancee's bones. He's made his bed - and now he has to lie in it.

Matt

Matt's right there. If he'd kept his assuage in his pants the first time, it wouldn't have come to this.

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but there's been recent developments to the story.

My ex got in touch at the end of 2009 & has now updated me on all that happened, why she chose him over me, what their marriage was like, how she's now moved on etc etc etc.

I guess it's taken her a couple of months to get to feel she could tell me the truth but it turns out the **** was mentally abusing her, ran up a shed load of debt & defaulted on the mortgage payments which led to her trying to end it all. He then persuaded her to have another child and only because she had the strength to tell her family about what had gone on did she manage to escape.

What a Grade A **** (even more than ColU_Mike7) :p

Oh & as per the poll, I never did add him, just left his request in limbo (he deleted it PDQ) when he saw his ex wife had added me though ;)

Good story. Complete NobJockey. Nice one Glasgow... so you polling this bird yet?
