Fairy Jobmother - Southend.

Glad the girls found jobs but did anyone else feel the show had been edited to show Southend in the worst possible light?

I thought it showed Southend better than I remember it.

ps who was the other person in the businessmen panel not named? and jeff brazier? wtf?

I didn't the programme showed Southend in too bad a light. Am regularly surprised at how people who live in the area run the place down. Parts of it have seen better days, no doubt, but as a long term exile and occasional visitor I think the borough of Southend as a whole is far, far better than other places I can think of.
I thought the women featured showed what is the best aspect of the area, ie the people, as they came across as down to earth, honest, funny and friendly. (Perhaps I'm biased but I live in a part of the country where many of the locals seem to be obsessed about how 'warm and friendly and passionate' they think they are when the reality can often seem very different, not that I'm bitter and twisted about it:unsure:)

Lets put it this way I went to the Turner at Margate a few weeks ago and that place makes Southend look like Monaco. 90% of the shops on the seafront are boarded up.

If you have even been lowestoft or even yarmouth then southend looks like paradise
