Welcome to the Southend United Supporter Engagement Forum on ShrimperZone! This space is dedicated to gathering your insights, suggestions, and feedback to help SUFC improve the matchday experience and club operations in meaningful ways. Please read through our Terms & Conditions to understand how SUFC aim to facilitate a positive, constructive, and focused dialogue with our supporters.
Purpose of the Engagement Forum.
This forum is designed as a space for short-term feedback only. Our aim is to address immediate improvements that enhance supporter experiences and can be implemented in the near term. Examples include matchday logistics, stadium facilities, fan services, and in-game experiences.
Important Note: This is not the platform for long-term strategic or high-level discussions about the club’s direction, finances, ownership, or management. Suggestions focused on these topics may be redirected to other forums or engagement opportunities, as they often require different resources and broader planning.
Guidelines for Participation
To ensure a constructive and focused discussion, SUFC kindly ask participants to adhere to the following guidelines:
1. Be Respectful Please keep comments respectful, considerate, and focused on specific suggestions. Personal attacks, inflammatory language, or offensive comments will not be tolerated and may result in removal from any thread.
2. Stay On Topic This space is for immediate, actionable feedback only. Suggestions should focus on short-term fixes that the club could realistically address within the current season. Examples include but are not limited to:
o Stadium facilities (e.g., signage, seating, and cleanliness)
o Matchday operations (e.g., ticketing, entry/exit process, or Food & Beverage)
o In-game experience (e.g., sound system quality, halftime activities)
3. Be Specific Provide as much relevant detail as possible when making a suggestion. Specificity helps SUFC assess feasibility and consider improvements effectively. Vague or overly broad feedback may be difficult to action.
4. Constructive Criticism Only While all feedback is welcome, please ensure it remains constructive. If you highlight an issue, consider suggesting a possible solution.
5. Refrain from Duplicating Suggestions Before posting, please review previous suggestions to avoid repetition. Feel free to endorse existing suggestions by replying to or “liking” them.
6. No Discussion of Club Strategy or Long-term Policy As this thread focuses on immediate, tangible improvements, suggestions on broader club strategy or long-term policy matters will be removed. SUFC encourage supporters interested in these areas to look for designated opportunities with the club’s leadership or on official forums such as the Fan Advisory Board.

Kay Fogg @OldBlueLady will regularly monitor this forum as a Shrimperzone Moderator to ensure a positive and productive discussion. While SUFC can’t guarantee every suggestion will result in immediate action, SUFC commit to reviewing each one with the appropriate departments.
