Just in case anyone hasn't seen all our shirts on the 'Old photo's of Southend thread', here they all are.

My neighbour has the 69/70 striped shirt...he told me of those days when average crowds at the Hall was 12,000.

I had that striped shirt for school sports and playing football in the local parks. It was hard to get as the club didn't sell it. Although sosborne managed to get a load from the club to kit out the Leigh Comm football team. The same shirts were worn by West Brom. And yes, the crowds were big. All standing except for the East Stand. It was when I first started going. It was very impressive, especially when the North Bank was full, loud and swaying.

Has to be the Nike / Betterview Windows shirt we wore two seasons in a row, and were promoted two seasons in a row. Club badge in the middle (similar to the 1996 England shirt) and worn by birthday boy, Freddy Eastwood.

I think I was responsible for TOFFS setting up/stocking those two late sixties tops (definitely the Blue one) I had to send them templates of the badge, assured them that they would get so many orders etc......

That was an awful season when Southend wore those shirts , we finished 17th and let in 85 goals . If I remember right our gates were about 6000 thousand and the only highlight was King Billy Best scoring 24 goals in a struggling team .

Still have my Firholm sponsored Spall shirt from.....1989 I think. I was 16 at the time and still fits. Kind of..... Haven't seen many others here in Oz, though I did randomly see a chap wearing the old silver away shirt in a supermarket in NZ a few years ago.....
