Apart from Southend Pier my favourite has to be the 'Liquid Ray' graffiti that was daubed on several walls in the town.

"Liquid Ray just loves to spray"

"Liquid Ray has gone away"

"Liquid Ray is a grass" (possibly not eponymous)

I also loved the "SPEED NOW" graffiti outside my alma mata Holt Farm junior school that lasted an impressive 25 years before being removed.

Anyone else?

The 3 Shells for me.

What with being so far from home, I just wish that I could sometimes smell the doughnuts and chips cooking away...... gives me a lump in my throat :(

I was once turned down for a job operating the Dinky Donut machine at a Seafront kiosk.

I would just sit and stare at the little machine that dumps the perfectly formed bits of dough in the boiling oil....and then up the metal chain of death until they plummet in to the death bath of sugar!!

What about that kids plaything that used to be outside Argos in Vic circus?

Not that I used to play in it, it just came in handy sometimes when I was caught short..

Shops wise......it would have to be Parrott Records in the precinct and another shop down by the underpass......it was a "Head shop and Peace Zone"

Can any one remember what it was called?

For me it's the funicular railway (ok, Cliff Lift) not far from the Cliffs Pavillion. Not quite as good as the one in Hong Kong but it's a close call.

As for shops, Golden Disc, which used to be where HMV is now.

What was the name of the Head Shop and Peace Zone that used to be down Southchurch Road....just past the Warrior Square East road?
