Well here it is, the day of my much awaited (for me) title decider back to back FC. I am 7 points clear of second and playing him at his but on my favourite dusty track. 2020 has helped him get some fitness back but he still has a couple of players with serious issues that will help me if needed in the second innings. My entire squad is sublime. None of mine are playing OD on Friday.

I suppose I can afford to draw both games or at worst win one and lose one. He has a stronger overall squad but my key bowlers are much better so my seamer, all rounder spinner, second spinner should see me through with the other two spinners capable of taking wickets. No meetings set for today so the phone will be monitoring all proceedings. In Florida for the following two weeks but all lineups already set. I should be able to find a net cafe to catch up though I expect I will be pestering a couple on here for updates.

BRING IT ON !

At home to the side in 5th place (I lead the division). Forgot to change my pitch back from H+F,so will take a bit longer to bowl them out. I'm at full strength, so it will be a win. Declaration set at 360, should get a good go at them today.

BATTY SHRIMPERS v MancXI

We can tell you that MancXI won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a cracker! Hard and fast - should be a run-fest out there on this partially cloudy and humid day.

End of Over 2 (4 runs). BATTY SHRIMPERS: 11-0, runrate=5.50
Wills 1-0-4-0
Pollock* 7 (9 balls)
Evelyn 4 (3 balls)

------------------------------------------------------------------

Three Stumps v DIBS DIPPERS

We can tell you that Three Stumps won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a bit on the dry side. A fair bit of help for the spinners I think on this overcast and cold day.

End of Over 3 (6 runs). DIBS DIPPERS: 8-0, runrate=2.67
Clayton 2-0-7-0
Potter* 0 (10 balls)
Stride 7 (8 balls)

And now Allan's out.

End of Over 6 (Maiden). Napster's XI: 2-2, runrate=0.33
Mcclaren 3-2-1-1
Prag* 0 (5 balls)
Armstrong 0 (19 balls)

Last Wicket: Allan lbw b. Evans 1 (FOW: 2/2)

Decent start against the second best bowling attack in the division. Why won't people throw games against me any more?

End of Over 10 (Maiden). ShrimperZone CC: 34-0, runrate=3.40
Bolland 5-3-12-0
Lamey* 11 (30 balls)
Cunningham 23 (30 balls)

Prag* 14 (40 balls)
Whittingham 0 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Dyer b. Andries 0 (FOW: 38/6)

Very happy with this, their weakest bowler on display is 66k so to have remained intact for this long is very pleasing.

Holme 5-0-24-0
Lamey* 56 (76 balls)
Cunningham 38 (68 balls)

Inserted the opposition under cloud and humid conditions but no breakthrough.

Looks like we're going to get nearer to 55 overs at them.

Welcome to Geoff_Boycotts_Grandmother XI CG for the match between Geoff_Boycotts_Grandmother XI and Big Hitters.

We can tell you that Big Hitters won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking a touch on the green side. All the seam bowlers have been out there rubbing their hands on this partially cloudy and humid day.

Lets join our team for ball-by-ball commentary.

42.1 . Mcintosh to Porter
Fast, swinging and eighteen inches from the pegs. Porter leaves it alone with an elaborate wiggle of the bat.

End of Over 42 (3 runs). Big Hitters: 94-7, runrate=2.24
Daniels 15-6-27-3
Porter* 4 (32 balls)
Orourke 0 (8 balls)

I'm so going to get bowled out for 12 once I get round to batting.

The players are off the field for the change of innings.

Gichki 3-0-8-1
Lewins* 33 (66 balls)
44.6 W Gichki to Alshaun
A bouncer... Alshaun goes to pull. He's topped it high into the air... and a simple catch for Wright. OUT!

Lamo falls but another great knock. Sandy will no doubt follow him like a faithful little puppy back to the pavilion as he so often does.

End of Over 50 (Maiden). ShrimperZone CC: 203-1, runrate=4.06
Mathers 7-1-24-1
Cunningham* 86 (136 balls)

Sykes* 2 (12 balls)

Last 9 wicket for 41 runs, nice.

Well we've done the easy bit, racking up 364 in just 53 overs. Now just have to take 20 wickets, which should be a bit tougher, although we've made a pretty good start.
