No real need for multiple threads now!

FC season is back underway and it's a good start for us as Vulgar Boatmen have sold up (though it made my efforts to make sure I didn't play BBM in Week 1 a bit futile!).

Now to decide whether to drag it out for three days. With a tough cup match on Sunday I might be better off saving a day, though I've rested three bowlers anyway.

The players are off the field for lunch.

End of Over 11 (2 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 47-0, runrate=4.27
Lead by 6 runs. (Vulgar Boatmen C.C. 41-10)
Overs left today: 75
Holmshaw 6-1-18-0
Sinethemba* 19 (32 balls)
Lamey 20 (34 balls)

Bashing a relegated bot. Long season but I have to be favourite. Am trying to arrange for last seasons 3rd to roll over in exchange for same favour in OD. promoted teams won't be easy but on paper I'm in the box seat.

I decided today that I cannot be bothered to finish a rebuild, so will most likely be leaving my team to go BOT.

Fair enough, I will drop you out of the SZFL then.

A game I lost last season is going wel

End of Over 61 (1 run). Napster's XI: 208-0, runrate=3.41
Lead by 20 runs. (Screeb C.C.C. 188-10)
Overs left today: 75
Shipperley 15-0-49-0
Allan* 88 (171 balls)
Jefferson 111 (195 balls)

Bit of a faux pas on my part, wanted the extra gate receipts for a third day but I figured they would bowl me out at some stage. Now I'm just caning the fitness of these two.

End of Over 131 (7 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 574-4, runrate=4.38
Lead by 533 runs. (Vulgar Boatmen C.C. 41-10)
Overs left today: 65
Whaley 32-4-123-0
Wanless* 151 (201 balls)
Guneratne 125 (154 balls)

Last Wicket: Cunningham lbw b. Vickers 42 (FOW: 286/4)

Perfectly timed! And three wickets for part time chucker Wanless and his random mediocre/quality bowling! Nobody below energetic so well set for the pair of GFIs I'll be needing in OD and Cup this week.

End of Over 33 (1 runs). Vulgar Boatmen C.C.: 79-6, runrate=2.39 (1st Inn: 41-10)
Trail by 551 runs. (ShrimperZone CC 671-10)
Wanless 9-0-21-3
Vickers* 35 (32 balls)
Murphy 2 (9 balls)
Last Wicket: Tebogo c. Guneratne b. Sinethemba 15 (FOW: 76/6)

Park Avenue CC v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Back-to-back games with PA this week. 1st inns were pretty equal, so with the pitch flattening out, and the weather Sunny, we're going to try and kill as much PFL for his bowlers as we can, whilst mine put their feet up.

So far it seems to have worked. Tyas was the only one below Sublime, so we set him to Attacking, and he did the decent thing and got out early doors. His 5 bowlers toiled through 116 overs in our 1st inns, so if we can do the same again, they should be low Energetic at best, come tomorrow morning.

Park Avenue CC v BATTY SHRIMPERS

BATTY SHRIMPERS have resumed their innings.

Pitch: flat/green

End of Over 38 (Maiden). BATTY SHRIMPERS: 113-2, runrate=2.97 (1st Inn: 260-10)
Lead by 103 runs. (Park Avenue CC 270-10)
Overs remaining today: 92
Beebi 17-7-25-1
White* 26 (84 balls)
Downing 21 (42 balls)

Last Wicket: Tyas c. Cuss b. Lowe 45 (FOW: 84/2)

All finished here. Looks like it's max points all round for us, Minnions and Knights. A very distinct gap between the top and the bottom this season. Would be a good season to promote as there will be a bot or sold up team in the Championship next season.

Meandering to a draw unless somethig crazy happens. Could have done with batting a few more overs, but can't really complain too much.

Park Avenue CC v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Pitch: flat/green

End of Over 19 (3 runs). Park Avenue CC: 62-0, runrate=3.26 (1st Inn: 270-10)
Trail by 145 runs. (BATTY SHRIMPERS 260-10 & 217-10)
Overs remaining today: 22
Lindop 1-0-3-0
Makhaya* 36 (55 balls)
Singh lali 24 (59 balls)

Playing Eppleton this week who promoted and judging by the squad should be finishing 4th. However they're much closer to my standard than the Knights and Minnions who both carry £1m+ wagebills so it will be tight, especially as we've lost the toss in PCH and green conditions. Have rested Graham as we try to rotate our 7 man bowling attack.

End of Over 31 (Maiden). ShrimperZone CC: 67-2, runrate=2.16
Overs left today: 79
Chanderpaul 8-3-22-0
Guneratne* 19 (30 balls)
Cunningham 11 (33 balls)

Last Wicket: Sinethemba b. Mullen 25 (FOW: 36/2)

BATTY SHRIMPERS v BGS XI

Rested Lindop and Wilkey. Positively Amazonian in Essex this week, so have only gone with 5 bowlers rather than 6. Could do with a win to build morale after Friday's batting debacle. Good toss to win, and we've made the most of the conditions.

We can tell you that BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this partially cloudy and humid day.

The players are off the field for lunch.

End of Over 35 (Maiden). BGS XI: 106-7, runrate=3.03
Overs remaining today: 75
Andre 7-1-21-1
Bosi* 2 (13 balls)
Gallop 11 (32 balls)

Last Wicket: Dhanjal c. Motterham b. Job 0 (FOW: 94/7)

Bowled them out for 116. Be interesting to see how we get on now. Tyas is batting down the order at 5 as he's at Energetic, so hopefully he won't be in too soon...

Passed their total for only 3 down, so in a very good position. Could do with everyone getting to 50 and then getting out. Should be a comfortable win from here, with PC+H forecast for tomorrow as well.

Was 120/5 so pleased to drag myself to a batting point. Would like to just get out now so we can have a go at them tonight.

End of Over 87 (Maiden). ShrimperZone CC: 201-8, runrate=2.31
Overs left today: 23
Mullen 19-8-33-3
Crossley* 4 (17 balls)
Gulzar 0 (14 balls)

Last Wicket: Udayakumar c. Owens b. Mullen 0 (FOW: 197/8)
