Films you've watched recently.

Warren Oates is great in it (His first ever lead;IRC) but better in The Wild Bunch (IMO).
Yeah, Oates is fantastic and it's his best performance for me. I always tend to lean towards more leftfield/offbeat things, hence why I prefer ...Alfredo Garcia to the more commercial Wild Bunch.

I imagine you've seen him in Monte Hellman's Two Lane Blacktop with James Taylor and Dennis Wilson? He was superb in that.
 
Whisper of the Heart - Ghibli animation. Not a lot happens but it's still enjoyable enough. Not one of Mayazaki's best. 6/10
 
Saw Tony Richardson's The Entertainer again last night.Saw Alfred Marks in the Archie Rice role at the Palace theatre back in the day and also Kenneth Brannagh's revival more recently .Oliver's performance stands out though.
