Films you've watched recently.

Finally got round to watching Moon starring Sam Rockwell.

Highly recommended and not what I was expecting at all.

It's a fantastic film with a great soundtrack by Clint Mansell formerly with PWEI.

Agreed the soundtrack is beautiful, had to watch the whole credits sequence at the end.

Criminal how it didn't get a single Oscar nomination.

'The Father' - a moving film about a man's difficult adaptation to the disorientation caused by dementia. A brilliant performance by Anthony Hopkins in the lead role.

The tomorrow war. Really enjoyed this, action sci fi ,great story. More plot holes than you can shake a stick at. In fact finding all ths plot holes was thd most enjoyable part if thd film

Two different ones:

Ma Rainey's Black Bottom
Yesterday

Both brilliant for different reasons. Personally, preferred MRBB because the acting was sooo good.
I somehow ended up watching Yesterday.

Fun film and thought Ed Sherran was really funny.

The bit where the main character meets the non-famous John Lennon aged 81 was rather poignant.

I have just read your post. The time travel conundrum is a tough ask,, and as you point out so many holes in the plot and rubbish weapons to use against the aliens.

Yes you'd think they'd give them something half decent to fight the aliens, especially knowing what the were up against!

I fully expected Rocket and Groot to appear at some point in the film. Frothy but enjoyable and a better ending than I expected.
