We have never lost to Fleetwood, although we have only 8 points to show for our 6 unbeaten matches.

We have a brand new referee for tomorrow's match with Ollie Yates from Newcastle under Lyme in his debut season.

I don't think I've ever seen him referee and can offer little on what to expect. He has already had a busy schedule with five matches under his belt, thirteen yellow cards and no reds. His matches seem to have gone pretty well.

He is part of the Staffordshire FA Referee Tutor Team and here is a picture of him involved in a different sport - Ladies football.

His last involvement in a Southend match was as an Assistant Referee in last season's match at Barnsley which went rather well. In fact it was our last away win before Sheffield this season.

Assistants are Michael Webb from Woking and Gavin Muge from Bedford with Paul Kelly from Gillingham doing the numbers board.

Excellent overview Mick based on very little previous history

Don't worry, lots more "previous" for Tuesday.

Even the authorities aren't taking the EFL Trophy seriously - they're sending Darren Deadman.
