Sky Sports understands Fleetwood Town are lining up a shock loan move for Joey Barton until January. We'll bring you more shortly.

Where the hell is their money coming from? Signed Gillespie, Ball, Parkin and others this summer already. They're small than Crawley.

EDIT - obviously they won't get Barton, but the whole thing is annoying me.

They sold Jamie Vardy for £1m so guess thats paying for a lot of it. Theyll be contenders Im sure.

Hope he doesn't!

As for Fleetwood's cash, I know they sold someone to Leicester for around £1m.

Quick look on Wikipedia and they also had a decent cup run last year, got to the FA Cup 3rd round. They've risen through the leagues very quickly too, with 3 promotions in the last 5 seasons. Their stadium was increased from 2,000 to 5,500 in 2010, which had a proposed price tag of £4million.

The chairman is Andy Pilley. From the links below, seems that he owns fairly successful energy companies and rents some of the office space from the club.

Bit of info on him - http://realbusiness.co.uk/profiles/andy-pilley

With the extra league and cup matches, if he joins Fleetwood on loan his suspension will finish at the end of September.

Fleetwood play more frequently than QPR will though so they'll get through the games of his suspension more quickly. He'd be free to play there by mid-October. If they were to get through to the second round of the Littlewoods Cup then he'd be available from the start of October.

EDIT - or what Museshrimper said.

Yeah it's fine. I'm sure we signed someone who was suspended before and they had to miss the first couple of games of the season.

So is this in a way a sort of get Barton off his suspension quickly scenario? Would work out brilliantly for QPR as well then
