Footballer's names as a question

Pubey

Guest
I saw this on reddit and nicked the idea before I read any more of the contributions.

Very simple. There are some footballers whose name can end a sentence and make a question.

For example:

Is Wes Brown?

Can Peter Crouch?

continue!!!!

Who causes Jack Payne?
Why does Anton Flood?

That on the right sort of track or not?

Will Gareth Bale?

Can Mark Hone?

Is Lionel Messi?

(Not often that Mark Hone is in a bracket with those two!)

yep definitely!

I didn't even spot the Jack Payne when I looked through the current squad to see if there were any!

Does Harry Threadgold?

Is Phil Brown?
Is Rob Green?

(Ok, colours are easy.)

How well did Paul Brush?

A bit existential, that one.

That's what you get with me Pubey.

(Incidentally, Juan Mata definitely has the best name that can be directly translated in to English. John Kills!)

Back on topic...

Is Luke Shaw?

How will Leroy Fer?

Can Peter Reid?

As an aside, I saw something similar to this on Only Connect....Nominative determinism.

Comes from an article on incontinence in the British Journal of Urology by A. J. Splatt and D. Weedon.
