Just trying to think of any decent foreigners that we have signed. At the moment I can only think of N'Diaye, Belsvik, Iorfa, Neilson, Boere, Cagigiao.

Not a great track record - Riera could be an enigma!!

Can anyone think of any more positive examples?

Don't forget Peter Durson.

Didn't he flee the UK after getting into a fight in Churchills?

And of course Regis Coulbault and Lars Unger. What a midfield partnership they would have been.

I think Barry Conlon was born on one of Saturn's moons if that counts.

What did Goater do for us?!

Excellent call.

thought Regis Coubalt was quality, and also liked John Neilson - great goal vs Bolton - but did he do anything else??

One of the worst for me was Dominic I'm Awful - wasn't he the Lion of Lagos??

Another good call - beginning to sound like the Life of Brian - apart from Sean Goater, Efe Sodje and the roads - what have foreigners ever done for us!!!

JCR! - superb i think , gets alot of stick.

Is Alan McCormack english??

Steve Hammell... fantastic signing i think.

Mike Lapper was from the great US of A and I thought he was a quality defender for us before he broke his leg. Think it was at Norwich but could be wrong.

yes Lapper was great - went on the pre-season tour to Ireland when Whelan was boss and spoke with him at length - a really lovely bloke (really religious)
