Formula 1 2021

Marzipan confirmed as Haas driver for another season (2022), Schumacher too
No surprise really, be interesting to see where the team is at seeing as they completely gave up on the 2021 car.

Chaotic finish
If ever a race defined calling it at the right time it was that one. Both Mercedes and Red Bull called a blinder there. Norris had a bit of a mare, such a shame!

The trouble was that Norris was on a hiding to nothing. Pitting from the lead with a few laps to go can look very wrong if the rain doesn't get heavier. So much easier to pit from second place.
I'm sure if Norris & Hamilton had been the other way round at that point then Norris would have pitted before Hamilton.

I could be wrong but it sounded like the team (McLaren) were advising him (Norris) on the radio to pit but he firmly said "No" .

Lewis Hamilton will take a 10-place grid penalty for Sunday's Turkish GP after Mercedes fitted the championship leader with a new engine

Was thinking about the calendar earlier, with upcoming expansion to 23 races in 2022 and arguments for better "geographical grouping" of races.

Had a go at a 2023 calendar. I think it could go to 25 races, running from just after mid-March to late November. Better geographical grouping of races males for less travelling, better for environment, drivers and other staff. No "summer break" as such. Couple of new races - Finland (has a Grade 1 track, can't believe it doesn't have a race considering the talent and world champions to come out of that country); a second US race (East and West, with annual rotation of venues); return to Argentina, heritage venue with Fangio); back to Turkey (great track); and back to Kyalami in South Africa as per recent reports.
