Found this on SSN:

We are hearing that West Ham's Frazer Shaw is interesting MK Dons, Leyton Orient, Southend and Luton.

Did a bit of research and he is a left back, bit of a strange one but I suppose we don't have cover if Coker gets injured.

A left-back? Albeit one that can do the midfield role too. Would not be the highest priority on my shopping list unless strakes or coker were due to leave.

If he can't get into the West Ham squad with their current defensive injury crisis, and he's out of contract in the summer, you have to wonder how good he is?

Get your coat chapperz

Blimey, you are a bit forward! :winking:

Straker at left back is not the best idea,He is more effective in his current advanced role.

Indeed, but this is only to cover Coker.

Do we really need to loan a player just in case Coker cant play ? He is hardly the most injury prone player we have.

Maybe Brown is looking at this lad to provide cover for Coker and Straker as he can play in both left sided roles

If this is true, it has to be with a view to the future. Nothing wrong with being proactive in bringing in talented players. Maybe he intends to strike up an agreement to sign him in the summer

Possibly, although if Coker gets injured Straker can cover, and if Straker gets injured we have Woodrow/Eastwood/Barnard who can play there.

Obviously if we can afford a bigger squad and there is no embargo then having depth is a good thing though.

Chris Phillips has tweeted we are hoping to sign ONeill until the end of the season.

Now bearing in mind White is due back next week and we have Thompson to cover that indicates we are looking to add depth to the squad. Doesnt mean theres any truth in Frazer Shaw, however it does mean my argument that we dont need extra cover doesnt apply so much.

We must surely be out of Embargo to be looking at bulking the squad out ?

Bennett is training now, so we have enough cover in left bk or in defence when needed for next month!
