Northampton left/centre back, 23 years old. Not currently in the side. Don't know if injured or out of favour. Played 40 times last season. Previously with Cambridge.

Could he be the defender?

Hmmm, I wasn't that impressed with Murray in the games we had against Northampton last season. If we're going to sign a centre-half, then I'd prefer a right-footed one bearing in mind Barrett is left-footed. And though Murray can play at left-back, he is not particularly good going forward so wouldn't be a significant improvement on Che.
