Now don't get me wrong, I quite like the current Freddy song, but why did we not just sing the classic du du du du etc? Why did we make a new one? Imo I prefer the old one, simple and easy, and sounds brilliant. Do you prefer the new one or wish we sung the old?

I did hear them sing one other song Im sure, but the old one was still sung when he scored.

Is it the "There is a boy from Roots Hall, his football skills are wonderful"....tune?

If so, that is almost as old as the der der der der ditty.

Now this is the story all about how
My life got flipped, turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became Prince Freddy of a town called Southend

In South-East Essex born and raised
On the footy pitch where I spent most of my days
Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool
And all racing some horses outside of the school
When a couple of locals, they were up to no good
Started making trouble in my caravan
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared
And said "You're moving with your auntie and uncle in Southend"

I whistled for a trap and when it came near the
horse smelt "fresh" but had a lice in the ear
If anything I could say that this horse was rare
But I thought nah, forget it, yo homes to Southend!

I pulled up to a static about seven or eight
And I yelled to the horse "Yo, homes smell you later!"
Looked at my kingdom I was finally there
To sit on my horse as the prince of Southend

Freddy was born in Epsom but apart from that good song...Not sure it will catch on mind you.

:hilarious:

Wish I could green you for that! Although didn't they randomly add in a couple more verses once?

Yeah the theme from the TV show is a shortened version of the full song by the Fresh Prince and Jazzy Jeff.

Yep. I like the song that is good. Will prop early forget the words, but it is good.

RB Snr.

I prefer the old one... We always talk about carrying the atmosphere, due to the musical part of 'duh duh duh duh', it's easier for people to join in, rather than joining in by shouting, 'FREDDY EASTWOOD' could be a bit in need of confidence to join in...
