Question Free Transfers

Now the transfer window has slammed shut, I was wondering about something?

People like Sam Sodje, Peter Gilbert, Irekepen and the others who are still without a Club are we still able to sign them say tonight/tomorrow all the way up till January?

I know the loan window re-opens next week, when we can sign players on "emergency" loans which run for a maximum of 93 days, but with free transfers does it stay open? Does it shut and open up again like the loan window? Or its it shut until January 1st?

Not quite true. There's a deadline for free's and loans too, I think it's in November sometime.
