...kicks off this weekend.
I'll be watching Montpellier play Bordeaux on Sunday evening so will be able to give Arsène Wenger the lowdown on Montpellier's Bosnian centre half Emir Spahic, who Arsenal are reputedly interested in for a cool 20 million quid.

They messed up their chance in Europe last night, didn't they? They must be gutted, especially after doing the hard work in the first leg.

Marseille they are my French team been to see them couple of times now

Snap.Since my wife has relatives living in Marseille I've taken advantage of visits there to see a few matches at the Stade Velodrome including England v Tunisia there in the World Cup back in 98.

Those CRS were no yoke the afternoon before the game. :)

Not sure many will know this but Marseille played Toulouse in a friendly warm-up match for the new season. It was televised and as I was occupied doing other things I tuned in at the end of the first-half to see that OM were leading tfc 2-1. Returned for the last ten minutes to find that tfc had torn them apart in the second-half and were leading 2-4 and even went on to miss a penalty, for a fifth. As we all know, friendly matches mean very little but on the first day of the new season tfc beat Brest 2-0 .............................whilst OM lost at home 1-2, to newly promoted Caen.

Avec lollipop?

No,not unless he was having a crafty lick or two in the dugout hidden from my view.Every time he stood up(quite a lot)to prowl around the technical area(as I believe it's called)-mostly to complain about the tackling against his players(Montpellier picked up 5 yellows,Bordeaux only 2)he was sans lollipop.:)

Two matches played..................so early doors.................tfc 2 v Brest 0...........more importantly, yesterday ......Bordeaux 1 v tfc 2!!! Toulouse (tfc) find themselves top of the table. No less strange, is the bottom five, which includes Bordeaux, Marseille and Lyon!
