6 and 8 are correct. 5 is 2/3 correct. (missing the other player)

Andy Ansah? Remember him getting 2 late on at Charlton (think it was that year) and then a couple on the last day vs Derby at RH. That's if Charlton was the same season, Derby was definitely 1993/94.

almost there

1) What do the following players have in common? Craig Holloway, Nicky Nicolau and John Spicer
7) Who was the first Southend player to score in a competitive game at the reopened Roots Hall in 1955?

9) Who did Jay Smith turn down to join Southend on a permanent deal?

No idea on (7) & (9). For some reason Oxford is calling me for (9) but I don't know why and I don't think that's right. For (1) it has to be something to do with Arsenal surely? Nicolau and Holloway were definitely released without making a first-team appearance for Arsenal, so if Spicer was too would that be right?

If none of the above is correct then I'm beaten.

yeah 1) is Arsenal but it's more specific. I'll give everyone another 15 minutes.

and the last remaining one? 4th leading goalscorer of all time, 99 goals in total, capped for Northern Ireland - Sammy McCrory.
