Hi all, well after a particularly fractious weekend here on The Zone it seems we have to remind people we are ONLY a football forum. Some have dragged these forums into the gutter these past few days, mostly over differing points of view.

We all know the game on Saturday was probably one of the worst overal games in a long time, but we are all Shrimpers and no matter how bad things get, we should not turn on each other.

Please in future let’s all act like adults, have your own points of view but cut out the personal
abuse.

Thanks John & Graeme

At the end of the day, it was a football match. Nothing more, nothing less. Disappointing result, disappointing end, etc, but JUST a football match. Far more issues in the world to get worked up about.

We are never going to have 100% agreement on here, that would be very dull. But it may be better not to take things personally, which is easier if comments are not aimed at each other personally. There is a line between banter and difference of opinion, and another line between difference of opinion and abuse. I think it is fine to cross the first line, to help make this the excellent forum it is, one which I rely on heavily as an exile. But would it not be better, for everyone's health and wellbeing,to choose actively not to cross the latter line, and become abusive. Respect each other's rights to have and express another opinion, and more importantly, respect each other. We are, after all, all SUFC fans...?
