Great news - genuinely really pleased for Lewis and looking forward to seeing more of him in a first team blue shirt next season.

There's a picture of him as a kid* in front of a poster on the wall showing the League One title side lifting the trophy.
One of the best things from the open top bus parade along the sea front celebrating that was seeing so many young kids wearing Southend shirts instead of the usual Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea, W*** H** etc that pollute my home town.
Now we potentially have one of those kids in our first team.
And best of all, this kid can play. I hope he can be the face of this team for years to come and in two decades' time the kids are grinning sheepishly in front of posters of Lewis lifting trophies in a Southend shirt.
*So it might have been taken yesterday for all I know.
