Gary Hooper

Ignoring the fishing, in general when people talk about Hooper not doing it at Southend, I think it's often forgotten that he was only 18/19 and playing in a struggling side. He went to Hereford and scored the goals that got them promoted and then did likewise at Scunthorpe. Had the circumstances been different he might have been banging the goals in for us instead.

and if we had played him as a centre forward instead of giving him a few minutes at right midfield:'(

Sky sources understand Sheffield Wednesday have completed the signing of striker Gary Hooper from Norwich City on a 3-and-a-half-year deal, for an undisclosed fee.

Lovely goal by Hooper today.

Interesting stat in today's Times. Gary Hooper is the first player ever to have been on the scoresheet in all of the following competitions:

Premier League (Norwich)
Championship (Scunthorpe, Norwich, Sheff Wed)
League One (Southend, Scunthorpe, Leyton Orient)
League Two (Hereford)
FA Cup (Scunthorpe)
League Cup (Southend, Scunthorpe, Norwich)
Football League Trophy (Scunthorpe)
Scottish League, Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup (all with Celtic)
European Champions League and Europa League (Celtic).

He will add Football League Play-Off Final if he scores for Sheff Wed against Hull today.

Being linked to a move to the MLS with DC United or Vancouver Whitecaps.

Assume that was Hoopers Range Rover in the car park today with the private plate on it?
