Getting a bad name

I was listening to Chelmsford Radio this morning (same arm as Southend Radio so I presume same news bulletins) where they said a group of Southend fans are being sought by police following rowdy behaviour on the train from Liverpool Street ahead of the Wimbledon game. The radio said they were abusive and even pushed a pregnant woman in the back.

Now, I've had the press release about this incident from the BTP and there are no specifics about which team these scumbags were supporting, but they were a big group of 15-19 years olds that boarded the train at Liverpool Street so they're more likely to be Wombles fans I would suggest. But on the radio they're being called Southend fans, which is really going to do us no favours amongst floating fans who may consider going to Wembley.

Anyone know anything else about this before I go telling the radio station off for getting their facts wrong?

Very unlikely to be Southend fans. I am sure I saw a post on here as well before the game, saying that there was a group of Wombles on a train and they needed a good kicking?

Simply ask Chelmsford radio what proof they have that these were southend fans , if they have none ask them to retract the statement .
Does the club know of this ??

No idea but it was on their 8am news bulletin. Presume it's going out in the Southend area too.

I am sure it was one of our female supporters, which made the comments hit home even harder IMO - I think Tinks - but I am not sure

Would really appreciate Southend's not so friendly fans to welcomes these ****ed up gobshites off the train at Prittlewell. All they have done is spill beer all over innocent commuters and push innocent people. For the nasty people's information they will be getting to Prittlewell at 17:20.

I don't normally advocate football violence but these young men are absolute scum and made mine and my wife's commute hell and deserve hell back.

There's posters around liverpool street and Rayleigh asking for witnesses for assaulting a women so this must be the same thing. Highly doubt it was Southend fans though.

They got on at Liverpool Street, which is obviously where they changed straight from the tube. Having played a London club that night, we don't need Columbo to solve this one.

Maybe I am misunderstanding , I get on at wickford and there are always fans SUFC fans already in the train - so its fair to assume some got on at Billericay

They were 100% wimbledon fans, they were same ones who got escorted out of prittlewell after game, pushing a pregant lady is one worst thing's can do in my eyes, scum. There F.I.O will recognise them anyway, so imagine be arrest's to follow
