Thinking of doing gillingham with the Mrs and little un for the first time. What's the parking like around the ground?

Not the best, I used to live 100 yards away from the ground.
As long as you arrived early, lots of on-street parking, however, that may have changed since my days there (residential parking)??

I've parked in a pay and display car park less than a 10 minute walk from the ground before, and only paid something like £2 for 4 hours. That was a while ago, but I think there's still a couple of cheap p&d options nearby.

A very basic away stand.
Having said that - is a game full of rivalry and history.
Facilities not a priority. 3 point is!

My dad took my mum to Gillinham away on a motor cycle in April 1955. 1-1.
I doubt the facilities mattered then either!

Are away tickets normally available on the day at Priestfield or is it usually an advance ticket only match?

Am thinking of taking my kids (aged 5 and 9) to this game. Are tickets in the away end allocated to specific seats, or is it just a free-for-all when you get to the ground? Do many kids (i.e. under-11's) generally go to away games?
It won't be allocated seating. People will sit where they want.

I did that 10 years ago. Not bad as it goes. Got to mingle beforehand with Dave Crown, Brian Dear, Andy Edwards and Teddy Taylor, food was good and seating was in a decent position.

Was that the old wrinkly one that used to be an MP in Southend?

Never forgive Teddy Taylor for losing the toss of the coin for who had home advantage in the 1983 FA Cup Third round 2nd replay v Sheffield Wednesday.

I did go to both games at Wednesday. I was always suspicious that it may have been a fix, for financial reasons.

Of course, as is SZ, the above has bugger all to do with Gills tickets

I would imagine a big turn out from us for this match. Just hope the weather holds out.
