Glasvegas

Still undecided. I really want to fall in love with them but have this nagging doubt whenever I hear their music. Don't quite know why but it doesn't grab me by the bollocks like proper stripped down rock and roll (and that is what they are surely aiming to make) should.

Not saying I dislike them, there is much about them I do really like, but I haven't quite 'got it' yet.

Anyway, give me Glasvegas over the faux-trendy pish of stuff like The Last Shadow Puppets.........

In other news, if anybody's got the new Sigur Ros album today, I'd welcome their thoughts........

From Wiki: -

Miles Kane of Liverpool band, The Rascals

* sorry to break it to you, you're probably still scarred from watching C4 drama "Scully" in 1984, but Kenny Dalglish is actually a weegie........:p

I thought it was 1984? Damn, my time machine failed AGAIN.... :(

Quite like that song. I had heard the name before but never any of their stuff. I have to say I hate NME, they just seem to be up the Arctic Monkeys or Pete Doherty's **** no matter what they do.

Theres nothing wrong with them, I quite like both of the bands but hate the way NME seems to think that they can do no wrong and everything they do is the best thing since sliced bread. The Arctics could cover the worst song ever written yet NME would think its amazing.

I'm not anti-NME, I still occasionally buy it and use their website regularly. However I do take their editorial content with a pinch of salt.

Glasvegas?

Good Lord, thats a shocker of a name. But I trust your taste Glasgow SUFC, so shall listen when I can...
