Following Lee Barnard's excellent start tonight I thought what a good omen it's been for us in the past when a player has scored on their debut (albeit tonight was only Barnard's full debut.) It's usually been the start of something. Stan Collymore, Freddy Eastwood, Lawrie Dudfield, Shaun Goater, Mark Gower and ermmmm Anthony Richards spring to mind....who else?

Richard Cadette ??

In addition to those named the following may have scored on their debut:

Dean Neal
Martin Ling
Jason Lee
Tommy Mooney
Dom Iorfa
Tony Battersby
Julian Hails
John Neilsen
The late Martin Aldridge
David Whyte
Trevor Fitzpatrick
Ben ****ing Lewis
Neville ****ing Roach

Martin Ling was a good player for us, and I liked Tommy Mooney.

Lee Barnard was the real deal tonight though. Forget his goal, he did more defensive work than Barrett and Clarke combined tonight. Dunno how many goals he'll score though.
