As a worker on our nations railway I can advise that travelling on a bank holiday weekend is ill advised as that's when we shut down to do the major works and you'll end up on a coach.

There is also no service on the Circle/Met/H&C lines between Liverpool Street and Baker Street. So if you arrive into Liverpool Street, your best bet will be to walk to Moorgate and then get the Northern Line. If you come into Fenchurch Street, then take the District from Tower Hill to Monument, then Northern from Bank.
