Don't want to speak too soon but I have a sneaky feeling we may get a 1-0 victory today.
The comparisons between today & THAT Bury game all those years ago bear this out:
1)Barnsley & Bury, both begin & end with 'B' & 'Y'.
2)Then & now we have a black Striker in our side who is loved by most & derided by some (Goat or Gray, take your pick).
3)We are top going into the match
4)Its a bank holiday weekend (The Bury game was played on 4th May I believe)
5)They are both approx 200 miles from Southend
Forgive me if some of these are a bit tenuous, anyone else got any similarities???
