GC had a budget and didn’t have a transfer embargo hanging over him. When he left Rovers they were I think, 4th in L1, but the football by all accounts wasn’t great to watch. You’d therefore expect him to do well at Mansfield in a league below. MM by comparison has no league experience, has both hands tied together and is being booted in the bollocks.
Rovers fans are um, less than sympathetic.
 
He recruited some good players at Mansfield, I am not sure how it has all gone wrong for them.
 
Perhaps Coughlan and Kevin Maher should of been given a chance at Southend .
