I'm not sure if this is available anywhere on British TV, but I've downloaded and watched the first six episodes of the new A&E series, Steven Seagal: Lawman.
The show follows Seagal on his beat as a deputy sheriff in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, a beat he has walked for 20 years now. We see Steven and his colleagues on patrol, as well as Aikido training sessions for trainee officers where Seagal shows his legendary martial arts moves. The highlights of the show are when Steve busts drunken/stoned perps who can't work out if it's really him.
I know Steven Seagal is regarded as something of a comic figure due to his expanding waistline and straight to video movies, but he comes across as a genuinely decent fella who realises that he's been pretty lucky in life and is trying to give something back.
