Greg Halford

Saw him playing for Hashtag v Hullbridge yesterday.
With the game scoreless after 57 minutes (he had just skyed the best scoring opportunity so far), Halford was substituted.
His replacement scored twice in the next 6 minutes. Final score 4-0.

What did you think of Jermaine Francis was he any good ?

Interesting article about Greg Halford on the BBC website, was diagnosed with autism a few years back, a while before joining us when at Cardiff. Amazing how many people are finding out these things about themselves in their adult years. Autism, Asperger's, ADHD & so on. Helped him make sense of a lot of things.

He spoke about it on his go on the superb Undr The Cosh podcast.

Doesn’t really mention his spell with us too much.

I listened to that, now I’m probably going to upset a few people here. I thought he is using the labels as an excuse because he was a bellend.

I have an adopted son who has severe difficulties, you meet him and know he is not a normal child. He is socially awkward, makes terrible decisions and causes us so many difficulties because of his behaviour. Yet we have and still to this day have struggled to get him a diagnosis. Yet others get thrown the labels left right and Chelsea!

I’m not saying Halford isn’t on the spectrum, as everyone is on it to an extent. Just some more than others. In my opinion it feels like an easy excuse for his behaviour during his footballing times. That’s what I got out of the Undr the Cosh podcast.
